So it’s my second session with my therapist and so far so good. Haven’t had that Iyanla: Fix My Life moment or anything but it feels good to work through the minor problems before tackling the major issues that are causing the depression, mood swings and such. It’s cool though.
I have been meditating on my own more as well so that’s a plus. Therapy and meditation, to me, work hand in hand. A little talking it out and a little alone time to your thoughts.
I’m still working on a way to bring mental health awareness and health to my fellow POC and help to remove the stigmatism and negativity related to it. It’s gonna be a long tough road but I refuse to quit. Any one know of a way to do this or want to help just let me know.
